HOLY ROLLERS is an Irish comedy TV project. The show is a returnable murder-mystery with a propulsive thriller engine and a whole host of Irish levity to boot.
The project is written and created by Adam Brown and Taylor Sharkey, and is produced, developed and edited by Sean Albertson, A.C.E.

'A mixed-race outcast living in rural Ireland investigates the gruesome murder of her nun Granny by joining forces with the chapel’s pigeon-shooting team'.
-
'Meet Áine. She’s a spunky, ethnically -diverse woman mixed-up in a not-so-diverse rural Northern Ireland.
Áine shares her living space with her Gran, a local nun. Well, she did.
You see, she's just arrived home to find Gran's signature cuppa’ untouched...
Join our village outcast on a manhunt to find Gran (what’s left of her anyway) as she unravels a foul underground conspiracy within the clergy.
To fight grief and outsmart the local parish Priests, Áine infiltrates the chapel's acclaimed pigeon shooting club. This place holds the key to unravelling Gran's untimely death.
Prepare to dive head first into a shed load of eccentric chapel-dwellers, coffee, cryptic clues and crying (not the happy sort)'.

Áine Way (Heathen) is our main character. A mixed-race outcast and coffee shop owner. She’s tenacious but is sometimes held back by a traumatic head injury, which makes her dance to shake off the pain. Allie (Heathen), her trusty best friend is heavily pregnant and heavily loyal to Áine’s cause. Gran (Heathen), a nun and ex- hippie, is dead.
Father Peter (Holy), the new Father, is the talk of the town and fancied by all the grannies. He shows genuine tenderness towards Áine.
Father Benny (Holy) is Peter’s boss and is really old-school. Fire and brimstone-type fella’. Father Gabriel (Holy) is the ‘flamboyant’ one of the pigeon shooters. Auditioned for the Pope’s choir but didn’t get in on account of a ‘nervous tummy’.
Ringo (Holy), is the old church assassin, also dead. Little Philip (Holy), is the new church assassin. Big turnover in their line of work.

Áine Way tackles the mystery of Gran’s murder, the corruption found within the parish and racism from local skinheads and baddies.
The series will run in an 8x30' format, with a single-camera set-up.
Time will move up and down. Gran is a main player in the narrative but she starts the series dead. We’ll jump back to uncover her own investigations within the church. The clues she’s left will help Áine and Allie on their way.
The very last scene of Season 1, will be the revelation of what happened to Gran.

There’s a hunger for Irish stories. Even Scorsese’s a self-proclaimed Derry Girl.
However, modern Ireland looks a lot different from previous depictions, and that’s where we come in.
Our show explores:
1) Post-troubles Ireland. Where generational trauma penetrates the contemporary world.
2) Mixed-race life in a predominantly white country.
3) The role that religion now holds on Irish folk.
4) An original Female-led genre story.
Audiences crave diverse, original, stories.
We have one, with a fair measure of dry wit and dark humour.
